Five months after we bought our first bluewater cruising boat we sailed 10,000 nautical miles across the Pacific. This launched us into teaching cruising skill workshops, private onboard training, and through a partnership with our mentor, renowned sailor John Neal, offshore sail training expeditions.
We know what it takes to start cruising quickly and safely, because we did it ourselves. If you are ready to gain the knowledge and experience it takes to reach your cruising goals safely and comfortably, we are here to help you succeed.

Training expeditions are fun offshore sail training experiences following John Neal's Mahina Expeditions curriculum. You'll master seamanship, navigation, maintenance, & more. 2024 & 2025 expeditions will explore the Pacific Northwest. In 2025 we'll be sailing aboard a Garcia Exploration 45!

We're happy to travel anywhere on the globe to meet you and your boat to assist you with training.
Cruising skills classes
Cruising boat maintenance, hands-on workshops, online classes, and boat show seminars are great ways to learn essential cruising skills and build your network. We've got a pretty stellar seminars on the calendar for 2024; hope to see you there.
